"Zewedetna” is an alternative project with many programs that support refugees women and their cause. It is not a charitable project or a social welfare program, but rather an economic project to help the refugees in their steadfastness in the diaspora. The project also aims to reduce poverty within the refugees community in the camps. Enhancing the sources of income for families within the framework of employing the largest possible number of women from the Ain El-Hilweh and Miyyeh camps in the “Zewedetna” food factory.
The association needs support more than ever due to the conditions that Lebanon is going through from the Corona pandemic and the stifling economic crisis, which led to an increase in the prices of all basic commodities such as flour, gasoline and diesel, if available. The rise in prices led to a decrease in the profit margin, and the profit here is not financial returns, but rather the wages of women who work in this project, and they are the most vulnerable and under threat of unemployment.
Your donation to this project will contribute to reducing unemployment and empowering refugee women in the long run. Nearly 25 women and countless families depend on your donations during these difficult times that Lebanon is going through.
Help us help them!
