In light of the series of unfortunate events in Akkar, which includes the recent wildfires and tragic fuel warehouse explosion on August 14th, we at Make a Difference Lebanon have initiated this disaster relief to support Akkar in the below:
1. Provide first and second-degree burn medicines
2.Pay hospital bills and other incurred costs for the families of the victims
3.Support in the rehabilitation of the dislocated families in both events.

Akkar Governorate is one of the country’s most deprived regions, with severe poverty. Out of a population of around 1.2 million people, around 70% live in poverty. Accordingly, we will also be distributing food parcels to families in need in parallel.
