And today, I find myself standing in the same place, holding the same dreams, but with less time and fewer options.
I live alone with my mother in a modest, aging home that reflects our reality. It is not just a house — it is a place filled with quiet endurance. Parts of it need repair before it can even welcome something as meaningful as a wedding or a new beginning. But what hurts more than the condition of the house is the condition of our hearts.
