Help 75 Displaced People in a Beirut Mosque
My name is Georges Haddad. I am a neon artisan and a secular social activist based in Beirut. When crisis hits, I believe in showing up with action, not just words.
During the 2024 war, I worked with my friends to support displaced families on the ground. I also organized a "Hunger Strike Chain" action for Gaza and helped gather warm clothes for the Palestinian amputee children being cared for by Dr. Ghassan Abu Sittah’s organization here in Beirut.
Now, the war is back. This year, the number of displaced people is staggering, and the needs are greater than ever.
I am currently focusing my efforts on 22 families—75 people in total—who have taken shelter in a mosque near my home. They have lost everything and are starting from zero. These are families with children, elderly, and people with medical needs who are living in cramped conditions with barely any essentials.
I am launching this fundraiser to provide them with:
· Food & Water: Daily meals and clean drinking water.
· Hygiene Kits: Diapers, baby formula, sanitary products, and soap.
· Medicine: Urgent medical supplies and chronic illness medications.
· Mattresses & Blankets: So they don’t have to sleep on the cold floor.
Because I am working directly with these families, I can guarantee that 100% of your donations will go directly to their immediate needs. I will provide updates with receipts and photos of the aid being distributed.
Even a small contribution can provide a meal for a family. Thank you for standing with us during this terrifying time.
