My name is Rawad El Hayek, a 24-year-old Lebanese man. I was born with a congenital syndrome called "hemifacial microsomia" which results in partial facial paralysis and unilateral hearing loss. Throughout my academic and personal life, I have faced a lot of challenges because of my hearing loss in my right ear.

In the midst of the worst economic crisis to date in Lebanon, I am starting a crowdfunding campaign in order to implant a bone-anchored hearing aid that will help me gain my hearing sense in my right ear.
