I suffer from severe vision deterioration, and my medical condition requires urgent surgical intervention. But Gaza is not a place where these opportunities are available. Here, there is no medicine, no equipped hospitals, and no hope except in the hearts of the people who see us amidst this rubble.

Today, I find myself in a double struggle: with illness and with war. I cannot see the face of my sister who stands by my side every day, nor can I read the last letter my mother left me before she passed away. Whenever I try to focus with my eyes, I am overcome by pain and fog, and I feel as if the entire world is slipping away from me.

Every night, I am afraid to close my eyes. I fear that I will never open it again to the light. What if I wake up one day to find that the darkness has become permanent?

The war here leaves us with nothing. Basic medicines are unavailable, hospitals are overwhelmed with attempts to save those affected by the bombing, and I am in the midst of all this, waiting. Waiting for a chance to live, a chance to see the face of my niece who is growing day by day, and I cannot even keep her features in my memory.
