We managed to travel back to Lebanon and start Angelina’s treatment, despite having no insurance coverage. But her treatment has become much more complicated than we initially expected, and we still have not been able to reach the amount needed to cover her full treatment.

Angelina remains uninsured to this day.

Her treatment plan has also changed:

- She needs a minor procedure to insert a Port-A-Cath, because her PICC line was unsuccessful and she needs a long term access for chemotherapy.

- She will need surgery between chemotherapy cycles to remove the mature and immature teratoma components that do not respond to chemotherapy in the same way as the yolk sac tumor.

- What we initially believed would be 4 cycles of chemotherapy may now require 4–6 cycles, depending on her response and her doctors’ assessment.

- she also needs hospitalization between chemo cycles which is more costly even than chemo itself due to prolonged hospital stays. Her WBC and ANC plummeted significantly few days after first cycle and she is currently severely neutropenic.
