The Lathi community in eastern Santo, Vanuatu, has faced long-standing hardship since independence due to the lack of basic infrastructure such as clean water, electricity, and accessible roads. Women and children are the most affected, walking 10–20 kilometers daily to collect water just to survive. These conditions place serious strain on families, limit education and livelihoods, and threaten health and safety. With donor support, Lathi can gain access to essential services that will restore dignity and create lasting community impact.
