Cue-Master , Tripoli’s First Billiard Supply Shop
Cue-Master , Tripoli’s First Affordable Billiard Supply Shop – Support Local & Pro Players! The Problem Tripoli is home to 16 billiard clubs, hosting weekly tournaments where local players compete at high levels. Each tournament rotates between clubs. Each club fields two teams: second-degree and first-degree players. Around 80% of players are professionals, requiring high-quality equipment to perform at their best. Currently, all players and clubs buy from a single supplier in Beirut (Aramoun): A complete professional cue set (break/jump cue + play cue + glove + chalk + bag) costs $800 minimum. A play cue alone costs $250 and up. This makes it expensive and inconvenient for local players to stay equipped, especially when competing weekly or traveling for tournaments. The Solution We will open Tripoli’s first local billiard supply shop, importing the same high-quality equipment at much lower prices: Complete professional cue set: $300–$350 max (instead of $800) Play cue alone: $120–$150 max (instead of $250+) The shop will also provide fast delivery to all local clubs and stock all accessories: Chalk Table cloths Cue tips & joints Gloves Bags Stock will range from affordable to premium quality, meeting the needs of all players and clubs. Personal Story & Experience I am a second-degree billiard player, qualified to first degree, and I have been actively competing in Tripoli for years. I know firsthand what players need to perform at their best, from professional cue sets to gloves and chalk. Sometimes we travel to Beirut to participate in tournaments. Some Tripoli players compete in worldwide tournaments. Recently, two players from my own club participated in the 9-Ball World Championship in Qatar. I started this campaign to support local players, save clubs and individuals money, and help the billiard community grow and compete professionally. Who Will Benefit The shop will serve all 16 billiard clubs in Tripoli: Mina Stars Club (Mina) Spot Shot (Mina) Omega Club (Mina) 48 Club (Tripoli) Byblos (Tripoli) Al Chami Club (Tripoli) Side Pocket (Tripoli) Al Nejme (Tripoli) Jump Shot (Tripoli) Guevara Club (Tripoli) Fattouh Club (Tripoli) Dado Succari Club (Tripoli) Al Arz (Tripoli) Stephanie Club (Tripoli) Eight Time Club (Tripoli) Dragon Club (Tripoli) All players and clubs will have faster access to professional equipment at affordable prices, supporting weekly tournaments and international competitions. How Your Donation Will Be Used Shop Rental (1 Year) $2,000 Small shop in Tripoli, renewable lease. Importing Initial Stock $6,500 Cues, chalk, table cloths, tips, joints, gloves, bags (low-end to premium). Shop Setup & Display $1,000 Shelves, signage, storage, counter. Fuel Jihan’s Future: Beirut’s First TransMotorTaxi
Empowering Jihan: A Journey from Shatila to Independence My name is Jihan. I am a trans woman living in Beirut, and I am writing to you today not just for help, but for a chance to build a life of dignity, safety, and self-reliance. The Journey So Far For years, I lived in the Shatila camp, navigating the immense challenges that come with displacement and marginalized identity. Recently, I made the brave choice to move to Beirut to pursue a better life. However, the reality of daily life here is a constant struggle. I am currently facing the weight of high rent, food costs, and basic daily needs that are nearly impossible to meet without a stable income. Beyond survival, my dream is to finally become the "complete" version of myself. I am a student at heart, eager to finish my Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, and I am working toward the gender-affirming surgeries that will allow my physical self to match my internal identity. My Solution: The Motor Taxi Business I am not looking for a temporary fix; I am looking for a sustainable future. In Beirut, the demand for quick, reliable transportation is high. I want to start my own business as a motor taxi driver. This will allow me to: Gain Financial Independence: Cover my rent, food, and daily essentials. Fund My Education: Complete my marketing degree to build a professional career. Complete My Transition: Save for the surgeries that are essential for my well-being and mental health. What I Need to Start To launch this business and become a strong, independent woman who contributes to society, I need to overcome the initial hurdle of startup costs. In Lebanon’s current economy, these expenses are significant: A Vino Motorcycle: This is the reliable vehicle I need to navigate Beirut's streets ($3,000 - $3,600). Official Registration: Ensuring I am operating legally and safely ($800 - $1,000). Driving License: Obtaining my professional credentials ($500). Total Goal $4,300 – $5,100 Why Your Support Matters For a trans woman in Lebanon, the path to employment is often blocked by discrimination and systemic barriers. By supporting this fundraiser, you aren’t just buying a motorcycle; you are providing a shield against tragedy. You are giving me the tools to protect myself from the cycles of poverty and vulnerability that too often claim the lives of trans women in our region. I want to be productive. I want to be strong. I want to show the world that Jihan is capable of achieving her dreams. Will you help me reach my goal? Every dollar brings me one step closer to the driver’s seat of my own life. With hope and gratitude, Jihan
