From Beirut to the Stage
Hello, my name is Jad Srouji, a young Lebanese man passionate about cinema and theatre since a very young age. I’ve been accepted into the Acting program at 3iS, where I hope to pursue my studies and fulfill my dream of becoming a professional actor.
Even before starting my final year of high school, I began researching schools that offer acting programs. That’s when I discovered 3iS. After several months of reflection, I decided to apply, convinced that it’s the ideal place to develop my talent and build my artistic career.
Unfortunately, due to the crisis in Lebanon and the pandemic, I wasn’t able to apply at the time. I had to study in another field instead, because taking an acting course remotely made no sense to me. Acting is a profession that must be experienced in person through real exchanges, direct feedback, and group energy.
Today, I want to follow my true dream. I’m still young, full of energy, creativity, humor, and imagination. But to make this dream come true, I need your help. The cost of tuition, housing, and living expenses is high, and I can’t manage it alone. That’s why I’m launching this fundraising campaign to raise 5500 $, which will help me cover part of these expenses, including tuition and allow me time to find a job once I’m there. Alone in Lebanon, with my current salary, it’s very difficult to save enough money.
