Help Me Give My Son the Future He Deserves
Hello, my name is Kasun De Costa. I’m a middle-class father from Sri Lanka in my mid-30s, working hard every day to support my small family — my wife and our beloved 4-year-old son.
Like many others, I’ve been deeply affected by the rising cost of living in Sri Lanka. Despite doing everything I can, it's become incredibly difficult to meet even our most basic needs. I don’t have any financial support from relatives, and every rupee I earn goes toward daily essentials like food and utilities. There’s hardly anything left to save for our future — especially for my son’s education.
My biggest worry is my son’s future. He hasn't been able to start school on time due to our financial struggles, and this delay has also impacted his speech development. As a father, it's heartbreaking to watch him face these challenges so early in life.
All I want is to give my son the opportunities I never had — a chance to learn, grow, and build a better life. I’m reaching out with deep humility to ask for your support. Even the smallest contribution would help us enroll him in a good school and start the journey toward a brighter future.
I’ve always lived honestly and worked hard, and I will continue to do so. This appeal is not made lightly — it comes from a place of love, hope, and desperation to give my child the start he deserves.
