Hello madam, My name is Amasha. I live in Ibbagamuwa, Sri Lanka. As you know, Cyclone Ditva hit Sri Lanka about 4 months ago. Many lives were lost. Among them were my mother and grandfather. I lost my father in an accident when I was young. I have a sister. Since the day my father passed away, my mother has taught me and my sister to live a good life without any shortcomings. I am appearing for the A/L exam this time. My sister is appearing for the O/L exam. That day, we stayed at our grandmother's house for safety. Since my mother had to go to work early in the morning, I got up at around 5 am and went to our house with my grandfather to get my mother's belongings. After a while, I heard that a mound of earth had collapsed on the place where our house used to be. After that, both my mother and grandfather went to my father's place. That memory is very painful. Even today, there is not a single piece of our house. My sister, I and my grandmother are alone. My grandmother is also about 65 years old. She cooks for us. My sister and I don't have our birth certificates, national identity cards, books, etc. Everything is gone. My mother is running out of money now. Since my mother is gone, there is no one to stand up for us, so the government gave us a small amount as compensation. I got A8B1 for O/L. I was doing Maths for A/L. After my mother passed away, I didn't work hard at all. I had a hard time going to classes. I asked people I knew for money. My sister also stopped going to classes because she didn't have money. I help her as much as I can. I don't want to be a problem for anyone. My grandmother is sick right now. She feels so sad that she might die. But our mother wanted us to be in a good place with good character. She must be looking after us. I am asking for 4 more months. I don't even have money to go to classes. My grandmother doesn't even have money to buy medicine. Can you please help me in any way you can? I would like to kindly request you to do so.

From O/L Dreams to a Laptop for My Future 💻✨
Hi everyone, I’m Senesh, a student from Sri Lanka who just finished my Ordinary Level exams, and I’m now waiting for my results. During my school life, I worked hard, faced challenges, and gave my best in every subject. I have a nerve condition that makes it difficult for me to do physical work. I cannot lift more than 10 kg, which means I cannot take on part-time jobs or rent work to earn money. Because of this, I have no way to save enough for a laptop on my own, and I’m reaching out for support to achieve my goals. I currently use a desktop I bought in 2020, but it runs on a very old 2009 system. It often freezes, processes very slowly, and sometimes can’t even run Zoom properly. Even when I try to use tools like ChatGPT on a browser, the whole PC becomes extremely laggy. Because of this, I cannot run modern software, edit videos, or practice new technical skills efficiently, which slows down my learning and limits what I can achieve. I want to learn computer programming, Minecraft mods, cyber security, video editing, and other technical skills. These skills will help me prepare for the Advanced Level examinations in 2028, especially as I plan to take ICT in A/L, and also allow me to learn and create online without wasting time traveling to classes. Having a laptop will make learning easier despite my limitations and allow me to practice safely and efficiently. My goal is to raise $2,200 to buy a laptop powerful enough for gaming, schoolwork, online learning, video editing, and other technical projects. This includes a small buffer to cover platform fees, so the full amount goes toward my laptop. The campaign runs until 30th June 2026, giving me time to reach my goal and start using the laptop to learn, create, and develop skills that will shape my future. Any support, big or small, will make a huge difference. Even sharing this campaign with friends or family can help me reach my goal. Thank you for believing in a young student ready to chase his dreams, despite challenges! 🙏💻✨

Empower My Future: A Request for Academic Support"
In a small room in Sri Lanka, a student’s desk tells a heartbreaking story. Amidst open textbooks and a laptop—the tools of a bright future—lies a thick stack of cash. In any other country, this might look like wealth. In crisis-hit Sri Lanka, it is a symbol of a losing battle against hyper-inflation. What used to pay for a year of university now barely covers a few months of stationery and basic meals. The Struggle in One Frame: The Laptop & Books: A dream to graduate, now threatened by the skyrocketing costs of data and electricity. The Meal: Often the only meal of the day. As food prices triple, students are forced to choose between buying a pen or buying lunch. The Motorbike: Not a luxury, but a desperate necessity to reach classes as public transport costs become unbearable. The Traditional Drum (Bera): A silent reminder of a culture and a passion now sidelined by the raw struggle to survive. A Generation at Risk Sri Lanka’s brightest minds are dropping out. Not because they lack talent, but because they lack the means to eat and study simultaneously. The "stack of money" on the desk is evaporating daily as the cost of living climbs. How You Can Help Your small contribution can be the bridge between a student dropping out and graduating. $20 can provide a month’s worth of nutritious meals. $50 can cover essential textbooks and exam fees. Sponsorship: A small monthly gift can ensure a student like this stays in university. Don’t let a generation’s potential disappear. Your support is their only lifeline.
