We were able to provide essential medical care to 630 patients, including 483 displaced individuals, and distribute 1,000 boxes of medications sourced from the Ministry of Health. Together, we made a significant impact, but the need for assistance is greater than ever. As conflicts escalate and more families are forced to flee their homes, the demand for healthcare services continues to surge. In response, PHC-CCA has transitioned into a critical emergency response center, dedicated to providing comprehensive medical care to those who need it most. Help Displaced Families in Lebanon to Survive Lebanon is home to more than 1.2 million displaced people, many of whom are struggling to survive without the shelter or support they urgently need. Over 80% of these families are living outside official shelters, taking refuge in abandoned houses, churches, and makeshift stores. Despite the aid that has been sent, it only covers less than 12% of the total need, leaving thousands without basic necessities. As winter approaches, these vulnerable families face freezing temperatures without access to essentials such as food, hygiene products, warm clothing, and sleeping materials. Many of them include young children and infants, who desperately need baby milk, diapers, and medicine. My name is sereen Ragheb Abukrayyem. I am 42 years old and a mother of a beautiful child. Leliaa (3years old). ❤️ she is my whole life, light and soul. My child is my fight and what keep me going. Anybody who knows me, knows that I am a very reserved, and private person. I have always been independent and I am used to doing everything on my own for me and my child. So, please understand that it is hard for me to put my personal business out there today and to finally ask for help. My story started in September 13th 2023 when I left my husband and traveled to Gaza with my child to visit my parents and we have never been able to return until now. In the last year we are just trying to survive and battling to be alive till this moment, trying to convince my daughter that we will return to her father and reunion one day. Unfortunately, it doesn’t end there..on january 5th my parents lost there home and we moved to live in a tent with my parents who are suffering from old age and many illness, After a month, we no longer had any money. We could not even buy food or medicine, at that time my parents and i had no sources of income for 9 months and I felt that we were on the verge of death. We had lost all our dreams and memories. We are here killing and being destroyed, and we see that death is very close. I see all of this and I also think about my daughter’s health condition, who needs surgery due to an umbilical hernia. Therefore, we need to be evacuated from here. With my daughter and parents, we may be in a safe place with good living conditions. Recently, my father suffered from a stroke and could no longer move easily. He needs physical therapy and medicines that we can no longer provide. I am here today for asking your help to can survive with my child and parents and take them to Evacuate from this war and reach my husband in Egypt so he can meet his child and embrace her again. I understand we all go through hard times so anything helps.. Whether it be your love & support, a donation, sharing my story, or sending love, prayers, positive & healing vibes. As Israel expands its genocidal campaign onto Lebanon, hundreds of thousands of people have been displaced in Beirut and all over the country. Lebanese civil society has showed incredible unity and defiance in the face of yet another Zionist aggression. One of many examples of community-based response is the Houna Centre in Hamra: https://www.facebook.com/HOUNACENTER In normal times, Houna is a community reference point that offers workshops, dance and yoga classes. I am there twice a week dancing with our wonderful teacher and group. When people started fleeing their homes in the south of Lebanon, the centre mobilized immediately. They collect donations, distribute good to the shelters in Hamra and organize recreational activities for children. They are doing their best to alleviate the suffering of displaced families all while trying to cover the running costs of the centre at a time where very little income is generated. Raised funds will be transferred to Houna to cover their and the community needs as they see fit at this point in time. Please consider donating to mine and other community-led initiatives. They know better than any foreign actor how to support their people.
