My family is poor. I want to education

My family is poor. I want to education
Request for Urgent Support and Educational Assistance Subject: Appeal for Support Following the Cyclone Ditva Tragedy To Whom It May Concern, I am writing this with a heavy heart to share my story and seek your kind assistance during the most difficult period of my life. My name is Pawani Dhamsa, and I am a Physical Science student from Ibbagamuwa, Sri Lanka. Four months ago, my life was forever changed when Cyclone Ditva struck our village. In a devastating landslide, I lost both my mother and my grandfather. Having lost my father in an accident when I was very young, my mother was our sole provider and our strength. She worked tirelessly to ensure my sister and I had everything we needed to succeed. Today, we have nothing left. Our home was completely destroyed, and with it, all our belongings—our clothes, books, and even our essential documents like Birth Certificates and National Identity Cards. I am currently living with my 65-year-old grandmother and my younger sister. My grandmother, though grieving and unwell, tries her best to care for us, but we are struggling to survive. My Academic Background: Education has always been my priority, as it was my mother’s greatest wish for us. O/L Results: I achieved 8 As and 1 B. Current Status: I am a candidate for the Advanced Level (Maths stream) examinations. My sister is also preparing for her Ordinary Level exams. The Current Struggle: Since the tragedy, I have found it nearly impossible to continue my studies. We lack the funds for transport to classes, stationery, and even basic medication for my grandmother. My sister has had to stop her tuition classes because we simply cannot afford the fees. We are surviving on the small amount of government compensation provided, but it is not enough to rebuild our lives or secure our education. My Request: I am determined to honor my mother’s memory by succeeding in my exams and becoming a person of good character who can provide for my family. I am kindly seeking financial support for: Educational expenses (Tuition fees and learning materials for my sister and me). Medical care for my grandmother. Basic living necessities as we attempt to recover from the loss of our home. Any contribution, no matter how small, will give us the hope and the means to stand on our feet again. My mother always taught us to live with dignity, and I am committed to working hard to ensure your kindness is not wasted. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any help you may be able to provide. With gratitude, Pawani Dhamsa Ibbagamuwa, Sri Lanka

Everyday is a fight for survival

Emergency

Everyday is a fight for survival
We fled our home countries in search of safety, but what we found here is another form of suffering. Every day is a fight for survival. We face hostility, discrimination, and the constant fear of violence simply because of who we are. As LGBT people, we are not only outsiders in the refugee community but also rejected by the very systems that are supposed to protect us. Our living conditions are dire. Many days, we go to bed hungry. There is never enough to eat, and our bodies grow weaker each day. Clean drinking water is scarce, and we are often forced to drink unsafe water that makes us sick. When illness spreads in the camp, we have no access to proper medicine or healthcare. Even treatable conditions can become life-threatening. The rainy season is here, and our shelters are falling apart. The ground floods, leaving us cold, wet, and vulnerable. On top of this, we endure constant stigma. Being LGBT in this environment makes us targets for abuse and harassment. It often feels like the world has forgotten us. But we have not given up hope. We believe that with your support, we can survive this and work toward a safer future. We are raising funds to cover the most urgent needs: Food supplies to keep us alive and healthy. Clean water and basic sanitation to prevent disease. Essential medication and healthcare support. Stronger shelter to protect us during the rains. Advocacy and resources to help us find resettlement in safer countries where we can live freely and without fear. Your donation, no matter the size, will directly impact our survival and give us a chance to live with dignity. Please stand with us in solidarity. Together, we can make it through this darkness and move toward a brighter, safer future.

Need Funds for CANCER EMERGENCY (Critical)
Hello everyone, My name is Usman and I'm starting a fundraising campaign on behalf of my friend, Saad. He is a father of one beautiful daughter and a resident of Pakistan. His wife is currently facing a critical medical emergency and they urgently need our support. Around August 2025, she was diagnosed with ratinoblastoma milignant, which is a rare type of eye cancer that she developed early on in the childhood when she was about 1.5 years old. He works as a small freelancer to support his family and his income doesn't cover the huge cost for this cancer treatment. Up until now, they have done chemotherapy only and spent around 10,000 USD so far with a lot of debt. He has tried approaching cancer hospitals to enquire for their free treatment options, but unfortunately they didn't qualify him on the free program simply because he owned a house and they won't help him without money. He has been delaying the treatment because of the lack of funds. He has asked me to create this campaign on his behalf as they really don't want their relatives finding out about this so they want to raise funds while keeping their privacy. I have personally verified this case and attached evidence above showcasing her medical reports and scans. Any contribution, large or small will make a big difference. If you can't donate, I ask you to please share it as much as possible as we need to get the word out and save her life. The cost for this treatment is around $7500. Thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and your support in helping them get back on their feet. ❤️
