My name is sanath edirisinghe and I’m writing with a heavy heart and a humble request.
I’ve spent my life farming to support my family — my wife, my daughter, and my young son. But recently, our lives have taken a difficult turn. Every day, wild elephants enter our village and destroy the vegetable crops we depend on for survival. Farming, once our only source of income, has now become impossible.
My wife and I worked side by side in the fields, and now we find ourselves without work, income, or a clear path forward. My daughter, who is growing up with dreams of studying and building a better life, is now unable to continue her education due to our financial struggles. My 3-year-old son also needs proper care, nutrition, and a stable home — and I fear I am failing to give him that security.
I want to stand on my own feet again. I have a plan to open a small shop and start a new life for my family. But I do not have the initial capital needed to start this business. That is why I am reaching out, with hope and humility, to ask for your support.
