Amal's PleaStruggle for Dignity and Care in Gaza
Urgent Humanitarian Appeal
I am the wife of the wounded man Abdel Aziz Abdul Rahman Abu Mandeel, a resident of Gaza Strip. I appeal to all kind-hearted people and humanitarian organizations, locally and internationally, to help provide medical treatment for my husband, who has been suffering terribly since he was injured during the 2014 war on Gaza.
He was shot in the spine, which caused complete lower-body paralysis (paraplegia). Since then, his health has been continuously deteriorating:
He suffers from total loss of control over urination and defecation, and fully relies on temporary urinary catheters and diapers.
He endures severe nerve pain and electrical sensations in his legs, causing him unbearable pain.
He has developed deep, foul-smelling bedsores (pressure ulcers) that pose a serious risk to his health.
He lives under extremely poor conditions, without access to proper or consistent medical care.
My husband is in urgent need of:
Specialized medical care abroad, including physical therapy, wound care, and a proper surgical evaluation.
Ongoing medical support, including medications, diapers, catheters, wound supplies, and antibiotics.
Merciful hearts willing to offer help and restore hope to a father of two young children who are growing up in despair.
We are completely helpless and have no financial ability to treat him. All we ask for is a chance for treatment in any country willing to accept his case or any entity willing to sponsor or partially support his care.
