Help My Family Survive After Escaping War in Leban
My name is Ali, and I am from Lebanon. I used to live with my family in Dahieh (the southern suburb of Beirut). Because of the war and the constant bombing, we were forced to leave our home and escape to safety. We had to leave very quickly and could not take most of our belongings with us. Everything we worked for over the years was left behind. It was a very difficult and frightening experience for my family. Now we are trying to rebuild our lives, but the situation is very hard. We need help to cover basic needs such as shelter, food, and essential living expenses. Any donation, no matter how small, would mean a lot to us and help us get through this difficult time. Even sharing this campaign with others can make a big difference. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and support.

A Safe Home with Light, Warmth, and Dignity

A Safe Home with Light, Warmth, and Dignity
My name is Hoda Al Ghoussein, and I am 74 years old Lebanese woman living in Mechref, Chouf, Lebanon. In recent years, life here has become very difficult because of the ongoing electricity crisis. Most days, we have little to no reliable power. In my home, this means there is often no electricity for basic needs — no dependable refrigerator to safely store food, no guaranteed hot water for a shower, and no stable heating during the cold winter months. At my age, living without hot water, proper heating, or consistent electricity is not simply uncomfortable — it is unsafe and exhausting. I am a widow, and my children are doing everything they can to take care of me and keep me in my home. We are trying our best to manage, but without stable electricity and with parts of the house in need of repair, daily life has become increasingly challenging. I am hoping to raise $22,000 to install a solar power system that can provide continuous electricity for essential appliances and lighting. The funds will also help waterproof the roof before winter, provide house heating during cold winters, repair the broken main entrance doors for security, get a reliable fridge to store food, ensure I have hot water for showers, and complete other urgent fixes so the house remains warm, dry, and safe. This is not about luxury or renovation. It is about having the basic dignity of stable electricity, a warm shower, safe food storage, and a secure home in my later years. My hope is to complete these installations and repairs as soon as possible, so I can live safely and with peace of mind. Any support, no matter the amount, brings me closer to having a stable and safe home. Thank you for reading my story and for your kindness.

Help me to build my own house I’m homeless
Help Sampath Build a Safe Home and a Life of Dignity Hello, my name is Sampath Sri Jayanath Dewanarayana. I am currently homeless and living at a Buddhist temple in Embilipitiya, Sri Lanka. I am reaching out with deep humility and hope to ask for your help. I was once a medical student, working hard to pursue a career in healing and service. Sadly, I had to leave the medical faculty in 2006 due to academic failure. This was a turning point in my life. My family, disappointed and disheartened, rejected me, and I was left without a home, support, or direction. The trauma from this experience affected my mental health deeply. I have since been diagnosed with schizophrenia and am currently receiving treatment at the General Hospital in Embilipitiya. Despite these hardships, I am trying every day to keep moving forward. Today, I have nowhere to call my own. The temple has offered me kind shelter, but it is temporary. What I truly need is a small house, a safe place where I can live in peace, continue my treatment, and become independent, no longer a burden to others. I am humbly seeking to raise approximately $4,000 USD, which will cover: * Building a modest, safe home * Basic living needs during the process This is not just about bricks and mortar—this is about having a foundation to rebuild my life, manage my condition, and live with dignity and freedom. If you can help, even in a small way, I will be forever grateful. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing my story with others. Every kind act counts, and I believe in the goodness of people. May the merits of your kindness bless you in return. Thank you for reading. With gratitude and hope, Sampath Sri Jayanath Dewanarayana
