Help For Critical Post-Surgery Medical Follow-Up
A Humble Appeal for Life-Saving Medical Follow-Up Dear Friends, Supporters, and Compassionate People Around the World, My name is Mosharraf Hossain Chowdhury, a 54-year-old citizen of Bangladesh. Today, I am reaching out with hope and humility to seek your support for a critical stage of my medical journey. I was diagnosed with two life-threatening conditions: Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm and Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm. These diseases affect the body's main artery and can lead to catastrophic complications if not treated and monitored properly. Due to the complexity of my condition and the unavailability of the required specialized treatment in Bangladesh, I traveled to India on the recommendation of my doctors. I received treatment at Mazumdar Shaw Medical Center, part of Narayana Health in Bengaluru. My treatment involved two major surgeries: • First surgery: December 30, 2024 (approximately 8 hours) • Second surgery: January 6, 2025 (approximately 6 hours) These complex procedures ultimately saved my life. However, the financial cost was enormous. The total treatment expense reached approximately USD 30,000. To make these surgeries possible, my family exhausted all of our savings, sold family land, and sought financial assistance from relatives and friends. We did everything within our power to fight for my life. Following the surgeries, my doctors instructed me to return for a comprehensive follow-up evaluation one year later. Such follow-up examinations are essential for patients who have undergone aortic aneurysm treatment, as they help physicians assess recovery, monitor surgical outcomes, and detect potential complications before they become life-threatening. Unfortunately, due to severe financial hardship, more than a year has passed and I have been unable to return for the recommended medical review. I now need approximately USD 2,000 to cover medical consultations, diagnostic imaging, follow-up examinations, travel expenses, accommodation, and related costs associated with my return visit to India. At this point, I have no remaining financial resources. My savings are gone, my family property has already been sold, and the support we previously received has been fully exhausted. Therefore, I am humbly asking for your help. Any contribution—large or small—will bring me closer to receiving the medical follow-up that my doctors consider necessary. If you are unable to donate, sharing my story with others would also be a meaningful act of support. Your generosity will not simply fund a medical trip; it will help protect the life that was saved through years of sacrifice, courage, and hope. Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and prayers.
