Hey everyone, I’m Sashen. I’m 27 years old and I live in Sri Lanka. Last year, in 2023, I started rescuing animals — mainly dogs and cats that are hurt, sick, or abandoned on the streets. Since then, I’ve helped many animals get better and find happy homes. Some are now living with kind families here in Sri Lanka, and some even got adopted abroad. But many are still waiting for their forever homes. Until they get adopted, I keep them safe in foster homes or boarding places. I try my best to give them everything they need — food, medicine, and love. All of them are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed or neutered, because their health and safety always come first. The truth is, this work costs a lot. Every month I spend over $8,000 on vet bills, food, transport, boarding, and foster care. I’m doing all I can, but I can’t do it alone. If you can help in any way — by donating, sharing, or just spreading the word — it means the world to me and the animals I rescue. Thank you so much for reading and for caring. Dear kind-hearted friends, My beloved father has been battling chronic kidney disease for many years. Sadly, his condition has now become critically severe. He has completely lost vision in one eye and has partial blindness in the other, which has left him fully dependent on others for even the simplest daily tasks. Currently, he undergoes dialysis once a week, and the monthly medical expenses have become overwhelming for our family. Due to my father's serious health issues and blindness, my mother is unable to go to work, as she must stay by his side to care for him full-time. I am still a student, but I try my best to support my family by doing small part-time jobs during my school breaks. Along with the limited government support for kidney patients, we do everything we can to manage. However, it is still not enough. Doctors have now recommended that my father urgently needs a kidney transplant — a procedure that comes with very high costs which we simply cannot afford on our own. 🙏 I am humbly appealing to your generosity and kindness.
