Heart Valves Replacement Surgery
Hello everyone. My name is Dina and this is my mother, Lina Mohsen Hammoud. She is only 56 years old and has been struggling with a heart condition since she was very young.
She is very sick right now and we really need your help.
From the 4 valves of her heart, only 1 is working, as the other 3 are malfunctioning, making it almost impossible to pump enough blood to the rest of the organs. She needs an urgent heart surgery (double valve (mitral and aortic) replacement) because if she doesn’t it can lead to a heart attack and have fatal consequences.
My mom is full of life, she is vibrant and energetic and is giving it her all to keep on going, but her heart condition has been quite debilitating. We need our mom to have this life-changing opportunity so that we can keep on enjoying her beautiful resilient spirit.
We come from a small town in Lebanon and, currently, our country is going through one of the worst economic crises in its history and this operation is very expensive and seems completely out of reach. We do not have enough resources nor do we have medical insurance to cover it, but we don’t give up. We have hope and we have faith and we believe in the power of community, this is why we have decided to organize this campaign through Fundahope and share her story.
We all know how deep and unconditional a mother’s love is and all we want is to give her back in some way all the love she has given us as a family and everyone she crosses paths with.
All of the money that we receive will go straight into my mom’s surgery and medical care and recovery.
