I am organizing this campaign to help my families who are displaced during the flood in Maiduguri Municipal Council, Borno State, Nigeria.
They are currently in IDP camp, enduring the pains every day; they are fighting for survival, trying to protect the families from the diseases that surround them.
The prices of basic necessities like food, water, and houses have skyrocketed, due to bad economy in Nigeria and with rainy season. The children need proper clothing, and the cold at nights is unbearable for them. My families are still in shock and the fear and uncertainty around them, as do we.
Most urgently, we need funds to get a house and evacuate them from IDP camp to a safer place and secure the essentials for their survival. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a real difference to our families. We are hoping to raise enough to get them to safety, get them house, and meet their basic needs during this flood crisis.
