Children need urgent support after devastating floods in Nepal
Severe flooding has devastated communities in Nepal's Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha and Tanahun District along the Nepal–Tibet border, leaving children and their families facing loss, displacement and uncertainty.

Hundreds of people have been killed and thousands more are still missing, with the full extent of the disaster still emerging as search and rescue efforts continue. Homes, roads, bridges and critical infrastructure have been damaged, while disrupted communications and blocked access routes are making it difficult to reach some of the hardest-hit communities.

National emergency responders are leading search and rescue operations and assessing the impact of the floods, especially in communities along Nepal’s Bhote Koshi River, including Timure, Syaphrubesi and Rasuwagadhi. working with the Government of Nepal and partners to deliver lifesaving support to children and families affected by the floods, including emergency health, lifesaving nutrition, safe water, medical tents, and critical child protection services.
