Ali Shakir Created this campaign
Before Greece. Before Rome. There was Mesopotamia.
ERTH: Legacy of Two Rivers is an early-stage cinematic third-person action-adventure inspired by the civilizations that rose between the Tigris and Euphrates: Sumer, Akkad, Babylon, and Assyria.
You play as Sarah, a modern researcher whose experimental technology sends her into a past that is being manipulated by forces seeking to rewrite history. She must explore legendary places, uncover ancient tablets, solve environmental mysteries, and survive encounters where history and mythology collide.
The past has already been changed. Sarah’s journey is to discover who changed it — and why.
WHAT THIS CAMPAIGN FUNDS
This campaign funds a polished playable Vertical Slice, not the complete commercial game.
The planned 10–15 minute proof of concept will feature:
• Third-person exploration
• A focused environment inspired by ancient Mesopotamia
• One environmental puzzle
• One danger or combat sequence
• A story scene introducing Sarah and the central mystery
• Early interface, music, and sound design
CURRENT STATUS
ERTH is in early pre-production. The story, identity, and initial direction are established. Development will use Unreal Engine 5.
No finished gameplay footage currently exists. Any visual material marked “Concept Art — Not Gameplay” represents the intended direction and is not captured from a playable build.

Total campaign goal: $25,000.
TIMELINE
The estimated production period is 9–12 months if funding permits a consistent development schedule.
Development is led by a solo creator, with specialist help contracted where required.
RISKS AND TRANSPARENCY
This is an ambitious early-stage project led by a first-time solo developer. Scope, technical challenges, and production time are real risks.
Funding will be used to keep the Vertical Slice deliberately small, obtain specialist Blueprint assistance, use properly licensed assets, and publish regular progress updates.
This campaign does not promise completion of the full commercial game. It funds the focused playable Vertical Slice described above.
WHY ERTH
Mesopotamia shaped writing, cities, law, mythology, and human memory, yet it rarely receives the central role it deserves in modern games.
ERTH aims to explore that heritage through an original fictional story created for an international audience.
If the campaign raises less than its full goal, the available funds will be used for a reduced-scope prototype. The exact scope and budget will be published transparently before production begins.
Thank you for helping bring the land of two rivers to life.
