My name is Waleed Karyab, and I am a human rights activist and former official of Afghanistan’s Ministry of Education. I am writing to respectfully seek your organization’s support for Qurtuba High School, a non-profit educational institution that I founded in 2013, where I currently serve as the Executive Manager.
Qurtuba High School was established with the mission of providing free, inclusive, and quality education to marginalized women and children who are otherwise deprived of learning opportunities. In addition to formal schooling, we also offer free vocational training programs, particularly for women and adolescent girls, to help them acquire practical skills, achieve economic independence, and live with dignity.
Throughout my career, I have actively advocated for human rights, gender equality, and equal access to education. I have participated in various international platforms and television channels, where I publicly supported education for all and raised awareness about the challenges faced by women and children in Afghanistan. Given the current situation in the country, the need for community-based, non-profit educational initiatives such as ours has become more urgent than ever.
Despite operating with limited resources, Qurtuba High School has continued its activities with strong community trust and commitment. However, in order to sustain and expand our programs, particularly those focused on women’s education and vocational training, we urgently require financial support and institutional partnership.
We would be honored to explore the possibility of collaboration with your organization. Upon request, I would be pleased to share our project proposal, detailed budget, registration documents, activity reports, and financial plans.
My humanitarian advocacy work has also been covered by international media outlets, including Al Jazeera. One such interview discusses the situation of Afghan refugees deported from Pakistan and the deprivation of their basic rights. The link to this interview is provided below:

Thank you very much for your time and consideration. I sincerely hope for the opportunity to work together in advancing education and human rights for vulnerable communities.
Yours sincerely,
Waleed Karyab
