Wadad Ahmed Mohamed Khattab is a mother of eight children whose life has been torn apart by war. She lost four of her children in the violence—an unimaginable loss no parent should ever endure. Today, she is left caring for her four surviving children while carrying the weight of grief every single day.

Her husband was also severely injured, resulting in the amputation of one of his legs. Once a source of strength and support for the family, he now struggles with daily life, unable to provide as he once did.

Wadad and her family are living in extremely difficult conditions, facing severe hardship just to meet their basic needs. Every day is a challenge food, shelter, and stability are no longer guaranteed.
