My name is Andrea, and I am a graduating student who is supposed to finish my degree next month. I never imagined that I would be in a situation where I would need to ask for help like this, but I am hoping that by sharing my story, kind people may help me get through this difficult time.
Over the past month, my family has been struggling financially because my father has been taking continuous medications. Our daily expenses and his treatment have already been difficult for us to manage, and like many families, we are doing everything we can just to get by each day.
Wanting to help ease the burden on my family, I made a decision that I thought would help us. I tried to take a loan so I could assist with our needs and settle some of my school expenses before graduation. Unfortunately, instead of receiving the loan, I became a victim of an online scam.
What makes this situation even more painful is that the money that was taken from me was not entirely mine. I had borrowed money from people I trust, promising that I would return it as soon as possible once I secured the loan. Instead, I was left with nothing and the responsibility to repay what I owe.
I have been carrying this quietly because I do not want to add more stress to my family, especially to my father whose health is already fragile. They do not know the full extent of what happened because I do not want my situation to worsen his condition.
At the same time, I still have remaining school fees that I must settle in order to graduate next month. I have worked hard for years to reach this point. My dream after graduation is to continue studying and pursue law, but right now I am afraid that everything I have worked for might be put on hold if I cannot resolve this situation.
I am humbly asking for any help or support that could assist me in repaying the money I owe and settling my remaining school obligations so I can graduate. Any amount, no matter how small, would mean so much to me during this difficult time.
More than anything, I am hoping to recover from this setback, keep my promise to the people who trusted me, and continue pursuing my education and my dream of becoming a lawyer someday.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any kindness you may extend.
I included the screenshots of the scammed happened to me with this including the receipts I have.
