Fares Imam’s Story

It all started in late 2023 when he began feeling chest pain while walking.
The pain kept increasing until he found it hard to walk or climb stairs, even for short distances.
With minimal effort, he would feel heart palpitations and extreme fatigue.

After some time, he began experiencing shortness of breath, and his condition worsened. After visiting many doctors and undergoing a series of tests, Fares was diagnosed with multiple disorders in heart function and structure. These include Left Ventricular Hypertrophy (LVH) and Mitral Valve Prolapse (MVP).
LVH means increased thickness of the wall of the left ventricle, which causes high blood pressure and increases the load on the heart.
MVP means moderate mitral valve regurgitation, which means that some blood leaks backward during the contraction of the heart. The diagnosis shocked Fares deeply, as he was told that his condition is very advanced, and without treatment, the pressure on his heart would worsen and pose a great risk to his life. and He must undergo a heart catheterization procedure as soon as possible to save his life and improve his health.

However, this procedure is extremely expensive and beyond his financial ability. The cost of this procedure is $5,000 and can reach up to $10,000 in private hospitals.
