Hello,
I would like to introduce you to Hasna, a fighter from Bangladesh. Like many women in Bangladesh, she had to leave her home and work in different countries to provide a better and more dignified life for her family. In these countries, migrant workers often work under very difficult conditions. Many face situations that resemble modern-day slavery: they work very long hours, their passports are confiscated, they live under the kafala system, and many end up feeling as though they are living in a prison. We met Hasna after she ran away from the house where she was working because of how much she had suffered. At the same time, my mother was getting older and had become ill with Alzheimer's disease. My siblings and I were looking for someone to help us take care of her. Hasna was a wonderful person, a great helper, and always very caring. It is scientifically recognized that caring for Alzheimer's patients can have a significant impact on a caregiver's mental health. During that period, we could see that caring for my mother was affecting Hasna as well. She cared for my mother until the day she passed away. After that, she stayed with us for a while until she was able to resolve the issues with her papers so that she could return to her country. She was only able to do so at that time because of the economic situation in Lebanon. She returned to Bangladesh and was finally reunited with her only son. However, her financial situation was still very difficult, so she had to travel and work abroad once again. This time, she went to Saudi Arabia, where she worked for families there. She has now returned to Bangladesh, and she has been diagnosed with cancer. She urgently needs very expensive treatment, and the details of her medical treatment are attached below. Because we still live in a world where medication is treated as a commodity rather than a basic human right, there is a very real risk that Hasna will not be able to afford the treatment she needs and may face a very difficult fate. Here in Lebanon, many of us are also struggling financially. I wish I could help her on my own, but I can't, and I don't want to feel helpless. So I decided to share this call, hoping to reach people who still care about preserving our shared humanity. This is a call to everyone reading this who may be able to help. We have opened a bank account for Hasna in Bangladesh so that you can send donations directly to her. I have also opened a Whish account through which you can send me the amount, and I will transfer it to her.

2811580507233
Dutch-bangla bank PLC
Mst Hasna
