from sri lanka and I am writing this letter with deep humility and hope to kindly seek your support during a very difficult period in my life.
I am a kidney transplant patient who has been battling health complications for many years. I am a father of two school-aged children, and we are currently living in a rented house. As the sole provider for my family, I have always tried my best to manage our daily needs despite many financial hardships.
Recently, my life took a devastating turn. Due to a sudden blockage in my bloodstream, doctors had to amputate my left leg above the knee to save my life. This unexpected surgery has left me physically and emotionally broken. I am now unable to walk or work, and caring for my children has become even more challenging.
The doctors have recommended a prosthetic leg to help me regain mobility and independence. However, the cost of a suitable prosthetic limb is approximately $5000, an amount I simply cannot afford. My family is struggling even to meet our basic needs such as food, education, and rent.
I am kindly reaching out to compassionate individuals and organizations with a heartfelt request to support me in this time of great need. It will help me stand on my feet again—literally—and allow me to live with dignity, care for my family, and return to society as a productive individual.
