Every night I go to sleep not knowing if I will still have a safe place to stay the next day.
I am a queer person from Lebanon currently facing severe housing insecurity and instability.
I have been displaced from my previous homes in both the South and Dahye due to ongoing conflict and instability. I cannot return to my family, as it is not a safe environment for me due to repeated violations of my privacy, autonomy, and personal safety. This has left me without any stable support system.
To survive, I have already started selling my personal belongings, including my clothes, just to afford temporary shelter and basic daily needs. Despite this, I still do not have secure or stable housing.
I am currently staying in a temporary place where I am not being charged rent, but I am constantly being asked when I will leave. I also experienced an unsafe and exploitative power dynamic with the landlord in this same place, which left me feeling unsafe and unable to remain there. I am now at very real and immediate risk of homelessness, with nowhere safe to go.
There are moments where I genuinely do not know where I will sleep next. This uncertainty has become my daily reality.
I am urgently seeking support to secure safe temporary housing and cover basic living expenses during this critical time. Even a short period of stability would allow me to focus on finding work, rebuilding my life, and regaining my independence with dignity.
Without immediate support, I face homelessness, unsafe conditions, and the inability to meet my basic needs.
Any support, no matter how small, is not just financial help it is safety, stability, and the chance to survive this period with dignity.
