A Syrian Refugee in Lebanon Seeking Help to Receive Essential Medical Treatment

Dear Friends, Supporters, and Kind-hearted People,

My name is Aya, and I am a Syrian woman currently living in Lebanon as a refugee. Today, I am reaching out with hope and humility to ask for your support during one of the most difficult periods of my life.

Living as a refugee in Lebanon has brought many challenges. Building a stable life away from home, dealing with financial uncertainty, and trying to meet everyday needs have never been easy. I am currently unemployed and responsible for supporting myself, which makes it extremely difficult to manage unexpected expenses, especially medical ones.

Unfortunately, I am now facing a health problem that I cannot afford to deal with alone.

My Medical Situation
I have been experiencing frequent abdominal pain that has affected my daily life and overall well-being.

After undergoing an abdominal ultrasound examination, I was diagnosed with a large gallstone measuring approximately 20 millimeters (2 centimeters) inside my gallbladder.

Following a consultation with a surgeon, I was advised to undergo gallbladder removal surgery (cholecystectomy).

This diagnosis has been worrying, and the financial situation I find myself in makes everything even more difficult. I want to receive the treatment recommended by my doctor, address this medical problem, and have the opportunity to recover without the constant burden of worrying about how I will afford the necessary care.

Why I Am Asking for Your Help
As an unemployed Syrian refugee living in Lebanon, I do not have a stable income or sufficient financial resources to cover the cost of my recommended surgery.

Medical expenses, hospital fees, consultations, anesthesia, and postoperative medication can become a significant financial burden.

I have tried to manage my circumstances independently, but I have reached a point where I need to ask for help.

This is not an easy thing for me to do. Sharing my personal medical situation and asking people I may never have met for financial assistance takes courage. However, I believe that compassion, generosity, and solidarity can make a real difference.

My Fundraising Goal: $1,500 USD
I am hoping to raise $1,500 to help cover the expenses associated with my gallbladder treatment and surgery.

The donations will help contribute towards:

Gallbladder removal surgery, preferably laparoscopic surgery if medically suitable.
Surgeon and anesthesia fees.
Hospital admission and operating room expenses.
Medical consultations and required examinations.
Prescribed medication and postoperative care.
Other necessary expenses directly related to my treatment and recovery.
The final allocation will depend on the hospital's written quotation and the actual medical expenses.
