Help Me Reach Safety and Start Again

My name is Bukola Johnson, and I am asking for your help during one of the most difficult times of my life.

For a long time, my Christian faith has been a central part of my life. I have been involved in sharing my faith through early morning street preaching and outreach in my community. Because of my religious activities, I have experienced threats that have left me fearing for my safety.

After much prayer and careful consideration, I have come to the painful decision that I must leave my home country and seek asylum in a place where I can practice my faith freely and live without fear. For my own safety and the safety of those close to me, I am not able to publicly disclose my location or my intended destination.

Leaving everything I know is not something I ever wanted to do. It means saying goodbye to my home, my community, and the life I have built. However, I believe that seeking safety is the only path that gives me hope for a future.

I have always believed in serving others. Through my work as a caregiver, nanny, and teacher, I have tried to make a positive difference in people's lives. My hope is that, once I am safe, I will be able to continue helping others, work honestly, and rebuild my life with dignity.

I am raising funds to help cover the essential costs of reaching safety, including travel, temporary accommodation, legal and immigration expenses, food, and other basic necessities while I begin the asylum process.
