Please Help My Best Friend

It’s humbling to even write this. Asking for help is never easy — but this isn’t about me.
It’s about my boy, tommy.
He came into my life when he was just a baby, and from the very first moment I met him, I knew he belonged with me. What I didn’t know was how deeply he would weave himself into the hearts of everyone around him.
Over the years, he has become more than just a pet. He’s been a quiet comfort during hard days, a warm presence during long nights, and a gentle soul who seems to know exactly when someone needs him most. He has laid beside children who were hurting, stayed close when tears fell, and offered love in the simple, honest way only animals can.
I wish I could stop time for him. I wish love alone could keep his body strong. But right now, his little body is failing him in a way I can’t fix on my own.
Tommy has suffered a serious knee injury that has made it painful — and at times impossible — for him to walk normally. Because of this, he’s been forced to put all of his weight on his other legs, causing him even more discomfort. The only real chance he has to heal and move comfortably again is through surgery.
This is the hardest part to write: I need help to make that possible.
