A personal request: Help my father fight cancer.

Dear Mahatma, Mahatma,

My name is Pubudu Kumara Ratnayake, and I am writing to you not only as a caring child, but also as someone who believes in the power of compassion and community. My father, Weerathunga Ratnayake, was recently diagnosed with colon rectum cancer, and we are now facing the most difficult challenge of our lives.

He is a kind, hard-working man who has always put his family and others above himself. Unfortunately, the cost of his treatment is prohibitive and time is not on our side. We are doing everything we can emotionally, physically, and financially, but we cannot do it alone.

I would like to ask you if you would consider supporting my father’s treatment. Your contribution, no matter the amount, can make a life-saving difference and give him the strength and resources he needs to fight this disease.
