Jobs disappeared, prices of everything exploded, and the sound of explosions has replaced the sound of children playing. Nights are spent in darkness and worry, wondering if tomorrow will come, and if it does, whether it will be worse than today.
My friend is not asking for luxury – just a chance to live with dignity. A safe room to sleep in, enough food to eat, medicine when they are sick, and the possibility to build a simple, stable future away from the terror of war.
I am starting this campaign because I cannot stand by and watch someone I love slowly sink deeper into poverty and despair.
