Last year, I lost my father to a kidney complication. five months later, my beloved grandmother passed away, likely from grief itself. Watching her heart break after losing her son was something I’ll never forget. These back-to-back losses hit me harder than I ever imagined.

And then came my own breaking point. I went into a deep spiral of depression. I started losing my hair rapidly, shaking uncontrollably, losing sleep, and breaking mentally. I almost lost everything — my motivation, my confidence, and even my ability to function normally.

I’ve worked hard to recover from the grief, but now I'm facing another challenge. The anxiety, the shame and the physical symptoms like hair loss that are making my depression worse. My thick healthy hair was once a big part of who I was. Now I see my scalp more clearly every day. It feels like I’m aging fast, and it’s affecting my self-esteem and mental health even more.

I went to a public psychiatrist, but the system made it nearly impossible to get the care I needed. With public insurance, the stigma is real. Long waits, rushed appointments, and treatment that didn’t feel right for me. I can only visit once a month if I get a recommendation from my local clinic (puskesmas), which isn't guaranteed.

That’s why I want to go to a private clinic where I can get better and more consistent mental health support. But it’s expensive especially on my budget.

My goal is to raise enough money to cover:
- Bi-weekly therapy sessions (twice a month) for six months
- Monthly purchase of 60ml Minoxidil to help with hair loss

Honestly, I really want to visit a dermatologist too. I know my hair loss is more than just physical, but I'm prioritizing the most urgent needs. If the funds go beyond my goal, I'll use the extra to address this issue more fully.

I know healing takes time, and I’m committed to doing the work.
