Starting over is difficult under any circumstances. But starting over as a single mother, without a steady income and without a working capital to simply begin again, is something else entirely.

With her hands, her experience, and her ability to create she is willing to start from scratch.

She has spent years working with food. She knows how to cook professionally, develop recipes, plan production, source ingredients, preserve food, manage costs, and turn simple ingredients into something people are genuinely happy to put on their table.

So instead of waiting for life to become easier, she decided to build something.

That something is The Batch Kitchen.

The idea is simple.

Small-batch meals and provisions, carefully prepared and made available directly to households. Food made with good ingredients, proper technique and the kind of attention that is increasingly difficult to find in mass-produced food.

But The Batch Kitchen is about more than food.

It is a way for one mother to rebuild her independence.
A way to turn the skills she already has into a sustainable livelihood.
A way to create stability for her son.
A way to prove that starting over does not mean starting with nothing.

Today, the business exists, but it is constrained by the realities of working with very limited equipment, refrigeration, storage and working capital.

That is where this campaign comes in.

The funds will go toward the practical things that can turn a small operation into a functioning food business:

Refrigeration and freezer capacity
Food-safety and kitchen infrastructure
Packaging and labeling
Initial ingredients and production supplies

Launch and customer acquisition
Working capital to keep the business moving
