Help Us — We Don’t Have a Home

My name is Kanthi Perera, and I never thought I would have to say these words — we don’t have a home.
Right now, we are living without a safe place to sleep, without comfort, and without stability. Each day is a struggle to find shelter, food, and hope. Every night, when the wind gets cold and the world feels silent, I close my eyes and remember what it felt like to have a place to belong. That memory is what keeps me going.

Having no home changes everything. It’s not just about losing a building — it’s about losing peace of mind. I see my family trying to stay strong, but the truth is, it’s hard. Some nights we sleep outside, praying that tomorrow will be better. I try to smile for those around me, but inside, I am afraid. Afraid of what will happen if help doesn’t come soon.

That’s why I’m reaching out. I’m not asking for much — only for a chance to start again. Your support can help us find a small place to live, food to eat, and the strength to rebuild our lives.
