A Family in Crisis Please Help Us Rebuild and Emergency surgery
My name is Benese a devoted father, husband, and former primary school teacher from Rwanda.
For years, my small family lived simply but peacefully. We had food on the table, a modest home, and hope for a brighter future. But everything changed in January 2025.
That morning, my wife was on her way to work when she was struck by a hit-and-run driver. She sustained severe back injuries and was hospitalized for three long months. The driver was never identified. No one came forward. No insurance helped.
From the day of the accident, we have received no external support. I spent everything I had my savings, my job, and my strength just to keep her alive. I borrowed from banks, friends, and anyone willing to listen, but now, we are overwhelmed with debt.
Today, my wife is still suffering and urgently needs back surgery to avoid permanent damage and unbearable pain. But we can no longer afford it.
While caring for her and our young daughter, I lost my job. We are now living with no food security, no income, and no peace of mind. And our daughter is out of school.
Still, I’m holding on. I am writing to ask for help not out of shame, but out of hope that good people still exist.
What We Need Urgently:
• Emergency surgery for my wife to treat her worsening back injury
• Medical debt relief for the costs that saved her life
• Rent assistance to avoid eviction
• Support for food and basic needs
• Help sending our daughter back to school
• A chance to rebuild through work and stability
