My name is Joanna Jebaili and I am from the city of Tyre in the South of Lebanon.
Lebanon is once again under attack from Israeli aggression. The Israelis have in the
last few weeks alone, turned Lebanese people into walking bombs, systematically
bombed civilian homes, harassed civilians and now most recently attempting a full
fledged invasion. In two weeks, Israel has killed over 2000 people, injured over
10’000 and displaced 1.2 million people.
I, along with other members of the Lebanese community in Malta, wish to raise funds for those displaced and honour the lives of our brothers and sisters. This event will include food, music, dance and other life affirming fun to remind all how Lebanese people love life and celebrate their identity.
This fundraiser event is intended to focus on providing displaced persons with medication by accepting donated medication which will
be facilitated through Medonations who are specialized in storing and shipping
donated medication. Funds will also be directed to aid the growing hunger concern and therfore funds will also be going to the Lebanese food bank and to the Lebanese Red cross who are tirelessly working on the ground. The event will accept donations via cash, bank transfer or
Revolut.
This Lebanese night will take place on Friday 25 October 2024 starting from 1800
onwards at the Maori, Valletta, Malta.
