Ali is a gay Shia man whose family disowned him before the war and due to anti-Shia sentiment in Beirut he was forced to flee his house in Achrafieh. No one will let him rent for fear of Israeli targeting and his boyfriend broke up with him because of this. He had a heart attack and was in the hospital because of stress and exhaustion.
