Kwasi's Battle for Life
On [26-october 2025, we welcomed our precious Sunday-born baby, Kwasi, into the world. It was a day of immeasurable joy that quickly turned into a fight for survival. Kwasi was born extremely premature at 30 weeks / with a critical birth defect / needing immediate respiratory support and was rushed straight to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
The images show the reality of his first moments: a tiny fighter, weighing only 3 lbs 10 oz, connected to numerous tubes and monitors, yet holding on with incredible strength. Seeing our little Kwasi hooked up to life support is the hardest moment a parent can face. He is a warrior, but the cost of his specialized care is staggering and threatens to overshadow our hope.
🙏 Reasons We Need the Money
Kwasi requires an extended and critical stay in the NICU to stabilize his condition and ensure he can grow strong enough to come home. The financial burden of this specialized care is overwhelming, and we cannot manage it alone.
We are seeking $70,000 USD to cover the following urgent needs:
Extended NICU Stay: Funding the daily costs of his bed, continuous monitoring, and the specialized, round-the-clock nursing care he requires.
Specialized Equipment: Covering the rental and use of essential life-support equipment, including incubators, ventilators, and infusion pumps necessary for his survival.
Essential Medication & Treatment: Paying for daily critical medications, specialized feeding solutions, blood work, and necessary scans or procedures.
Neonatology & Surgical Fees: Covering the fees for the highly specialized doctors, neonatologists, and potential surgeons overseeing his critical treatment.
Post-Discharge Care: Funding necessary follow-up appointments, physical therapy, and specialized medical equipment needed for his transition home.
🌟 What Your Donation Will Be Used For
Every dollar you donate directly funds Kwasi's next breath, his next day of care, and his best chance at a healthy future.
We dream of the day we can finally take our Sunday-born miracle home to begin his life. Please help us lift this impossible financial burden so we can focus solely on Kwasi's fight. Thank you for giving our son the gift of life.
