Kusumalatha, 54, lived through the 2016 floods and spent nearly a decade rebuilding her small home. When the waters rose rapidly last November, she had to flee to a school shelter with only her identity card and a few clothes. "We worked so hard to buy new furniture and repair the walls after 2016," she said. "Now, seeing the mud-stained walls and broken roof again, it feels like my whole life’s work has washed away."
