Four years ago, my beloved mother passed away after a painful and prolonged battle with cancer. During her illness, our family incurred a significant financial burden. My father and I had to sell or pawn almost all our belongings, including my mother’s gold jewelry, and we borrowed heavily from others to afford her treatment.

Today, I live alone with my aging father who is no longer able to work due to his age and health. I take care of the household while managing a small self-employment activity which only covers our basic monthly needs. However, we are still trapped under the weight of the debts we took on during my mother’s illness.
