​We have lost all our possessions. Today, my family and I find ourselves trapped in a worn-out, tattered tent that offers no protection against the elements. Our makeshift shelter is completely uninhabitable—the fabric is torn, allowing cold winds to sweep through from every side and rainwater to leak in.

​With winter fast approaching, a profound dread consumes me as a father. How will I protect my four children from the freezing cold? How can I provide them with warmth and basic shelter when I lack the financial means even to secure their daily meals or essential supplies? Looking into your children’s eyes as they shiver from cold and hunger, knowing you have nothing to offer them, is the most heartbreaking feeling a parent can endure.

​With no other options left, I am turning to your compassionate hearts and to anyone who believes in humanity. We are not asking for the impossible; my only wish is to secure a safe and dry shelter to protect my children, provide them with basic food, clean water, and medicine, and replace this dilapidated tent before the harsh winter sets in.
