Our daughter Alice is the brightest light in our lives. She is kind, curious, and full of joy. Whether she’s drawing colorful pictures, laughing at silly jokes, or dreaming about all the things she wants to do when she grows up, Alice reminds us every single day how precious life truly is.

But Alice is facing a challenge no child should ever have to face.

Alice was born with a serious heart condition that requires multiple surgeries to give her the chance to live a healthy life. From the moment we first learned about her diagnosis, our world changed. What should have been a time filled only with excitement and hope quickly became filled with hospital visits, medical terminology we had never heard before, and the constant worry every parent feels when their child is fighting something so big.

Doctors have told us that Alice will need a series of complex heart surgeries to repair and strengthen her heart. These procedures are critical for her future. Without them, her heart will struggle to do the simple things most of us take for granted — running, playing, and growing up strong.

Despite everything she’s been through, Alice continues to amaze us with her bravery. She faces doctor visits with courage, smiles even when she’s tired, and still finds joy in the smallest moments. Her strength inspires everyone around her.

Unfortunately, the medical costs associated with these surgeries and the care surrounding them are overwhelming for our family. Between hospital stays, specialist consultations, medications, travel to treatment centers, and the time we must take away from work to care for her, the financial burden continues to grow.
