Two months ago, my life changed in an instant. I was attacked by a group of thugs and suffered a serious head injury. My skull was fractured, and I had to undergo emergency surgery to remove the bone fragment that had lodged inside.

I'm grateful to be alive, but the recovery isn't over. The area where the bone was removed is now sunken, with only skin protecting it. I need a second surgery to repair it and protect my brain for the long term.

Until then, I can't work properly. Any knock, strain, or heavy activity could put that exposed area at risk, so I have to be extremely careful. That means my income has stopped just when my medical costs are rising.
