Annual Fundraising Campaign to Support the Akkar Trail Forest Firefighting Team

For the seventh consecutive season, the Akkar Trail team stands on the front line defending the forests of Akkar. Thanks to the team's readiness and rapid intervention, especially in rugged terrain, it has been able to significantly reduce the extent of damage in previous seasons compared to past years.

However, sustaining this achievement requires genuine support. The team relies entirely on donations to counter the aging of its light vehicles and the rising costs of fuel and ongoing maintenance. We do not wait for fires to break out to take action; instead, we strive to secure advance funding to ensure our readiness before the season begins.

Our goal for this season’s campaign is to raise $40,000 USD to guarantee the continuity and effectiveness of the team's operations. This amount will be allocated to cover operational expenses and equipment maintenance, in addition to the primary goal of purchasing a new rapid intervention vehicle (4WD Pickup) that will enhance our ability to reach deep into the forests and extinguish fires in their very first moments.
