In 2020 Studio Beirut opened a soupkitchen after the explosion in the port of Beirut to help the people that were displaced then. In 2,5 months we cooked and delivered 12.000 meals.
In 2020 when he saw homeless elderly in the street, one of our participants started a soup kitchen. A team of volunteers provided meals to people in need. (circa 100 meals per day) to the lgbtq community centre in Ashrafieh and the Neighborhood Fridge. In September 2024 during the 66 days war the same initiative was relaunched and food was distributed via Nation Station. The March 2026 war has created a massive wave of internally displaced people and requires that the emergency soup kitchen functions again.
