My name is Hagar, a 22-year-old woman in Egypt seeking to continue my university education. I have been completely disowned by my family and lost all connection with them. Due to physical and psychological abuse, my education was forcibly interrupted, my life was put at risk, and I had to take three gap years. I am now ineligible for public universities and have been accepted into a private university offering the lowest available tuition.
